Dr. Roslynn Scott-Adams

Roslynn Scott-Adams, PhD, MSW, is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Chair of the MSW program at the National Catholic School of Social Service. A native of Maryland, she began her social work career in child welfare and mental healthcare and has 31 years of experience as a clinical social worker. She is the owner and founder of The Center for Authentic Living, where she provides clinical social work services to adults.

Since joining the National Catholic School of Social Service at The Catholic University of America in 2015, she has focused on helping students learn to practice social work. Dr. Scott-Adams began her academic career as Director of Field Education and later began teaching as a Clinical Assistant Professor. She is in her fourth year of serving as Chair of the MSW program and thoroughly enjoys working with students, faculty, and staff.

Dr. Scott-Adams regularly teaches social work practice and human development psychopathology courses in the MSW program. Dr. Scott-Adam’s research interests include the experiences of Black women in academia, cultural humility in field education, and diversity in academia.
